Alexandar Fridman

Director of A.J Drexel Plasma Institute

Prof. Fridman is a Nyheim Chair Professor of Drexel University, director of the A.J. Drexel Plasma Institute, President of the International Society for Plasma Medicine. His research focuses on plasma approaches to material treatment, fuel conversion, aerospace engineering, environmental control, biology and medicine. Prof. Fridman has over 35 years of plasma research in universities and national laboratories of USA, Russia and France; he has published 6 books, and received numerous awards, including Kaplan Distinguished Professorship in Chemical Kinetics, Soros Distinguished Professorship in Physics, and the State Prize of the USSR for discovery of selective stimulation of chemical processes in plasma.
